Are you an experienced Short Term Insurance Underwriter in the financial services sector, with a deep understanding of personal and commercial insurance products? The underwriter will support clients and advisors, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to continuous process improvements through data analysis.

What You’ll Do:
- Support clients and advisors with quotations.
- Efficiently process and manage new applications, amendments, claims and renewals.
- Ensure all policy and client data are accurately captured on all internal systems.
- Process and manage all claims with different insurance providers.
- Support clients with relevant policy enquiries or information.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (FAIS, POPIA & FICA) and maintain accurate documentation.
- Analyse underwriting data and contribute to process improvements.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with intermediaries, advisors and clients.
What You Bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in the insurance industry with a focus on Commercial Lines underwriting within a brokerage/insurer.
- Strong knowledge of different insurance products.
- Minimum qualifications: NQF4 Insurance related qualification & RE certification (Essential).
- Insurer platforms such as Policy Centre, Tial, Brolink – advantageous
- CPD points up to date.
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication in Afrikaans & English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with clients and stakeholders.
- Quality and quantity of data.
- Accuracy of record keeping.

Brisch Administration Services is a growing financial services support business providing compliant, reliable administration and other solutions to financial advisers.
We are seeking a hands-on Head of Commercial, to drive revenue growth, adviser acquisition, and client retention in a small-business environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Driving new business development with financial advisers and practices through the positioning of the BRISCH value proposition and operational model
- Building and maintaining long-term adviser relationships
- Leading sales, pricing, and commercial negotiations
- Overseeing practical, compliant marketing and brand positioning
- Working closely with the Managing Director and operations team to support sustainable growth
- The ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in networking, business development, and commercial leadership
- Strong understanding of the South African financial services environment
- Experience working with or selling to financial advisers
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills
- Ability to operate independently and hands-on
- An appropriate NQF7 tertiary qualification
